Dr Lauren Davis MRCVS | Veterinary Expert Contributor to Smart Bark

Dr Lauren Davis MRCVS is a practising veterinary surgeon who graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011. During her career, she has worked in first opinion veterinary practice, the pet health industry and human healthcare, giving her a unique perspective on animal wellbeing and supportive care.

Lauren is the founder and director of VetRelieve, a company dedicated to improving comfort and quality of life for older pets through thoughtfully designed supportive bedding. Her work combines veterinary expertise with specialist knowledge of pressure care, helping pet owners better understand the important role that sleep and rest play in their dog's overall health.

Alongside her clinical and commercial experience, Lauren has held senior technical and advisory roles within the pet industry, including serving as International Technical Adviser for VetPlus. She has also worked in veterinary communications and education, helping pet owners make informed decisions about their pets' health and wellbeing.

Lauren collaborated with Smart Bark on our guide to supporting older dogs, providing expert veterinary insight on age related health concerns, mobility challenges and ways owners can help their senior companions enjoy a comfortable and active life. She also contributes veterinary commentary to selected Smart Bark nutrition and dog care articles.

When she's not working, Lauren is kept busy by her two children and two particularly demanding cats.
