PARK LiFE Dog Treats Review: Are They Any Good?

Aug 18
8 min read

Updated: Sep 4

Assorted Park Life dog treat bags arranged on a table, colorful varieties like Puggys, Nibbles, Brush-Bix and Noses.

We test the PARK LiFE dog treat range, including the new Dog Crisps, training treats, dental treats, calming treats and celebration treats.

We say it a lot at Smart Bark, but few brands make us grin quite like this one.

PARK LiFE's range is so wide, so playful and so full of clever ideas that a single mention in our Best Dog Treats UK round up never felt like enough.

So when their brand new Dog Crisps landed on our testing table, we cleared the decks, called in the taste testers, and got stuck in. Here's what PARK LiFE do, what we made of it, and where they land against the pack.

PARK LiFE Dog Treats : The Treat Brand in Brief

It's a British, Dragons’ Den-featured treat maker with a simple promise: treats “made with love by pawrents, for pawrents.”

Everything is grain free, made with human-grade ingredients, and baked in small batches. No artificial nasties, no corner cutting.

There's real charm in the branding, too. Every pack is covered in playful cartoon dogs, and that friendly, fun look is a genuine hit with children. The little ones in our testing households loved getting involved, taking real pride in picking a treat and handing it to the family pooch.

It makes treat time a shared family moment rather than a temptation at the dinner table, and it's a lovely way to teach children to care for the dog safely.

What sets them apart isn’t one hero product. It’s the sheer scope, seriously it's a huge range.

Let’s start with the launch everyone’s talking about.

How We Test and Review Dog Products — the method behind every Smart Bark verdict

NEW : PARK LiFE Dog Crisps (The One to Watch)

Crisps. For dogs. We’ll admit we raised an eyebrow too, right up until the first packet came out.

Snack sharing is one of the hardest habits for owners to break, and it's usually the moment a good diet goes sideways.

Their Dog Crisps hand you the ritual without the risk. Same rustle of the bag minus the salt and the guilt.

They're exactly what they sound like: proper crisps, made dog safe. Thin slices of potato, hand cooked in small batches, in a Roast Chicken flavour.

The clever bit is what’s left out. There’s no added salt, no sugar, no lactose and no artificial additives, which is precisely the stuff that makes your own crisp packet off limits for four-legged friends.

The proof? The moment the first bag crinkled open, Freddie wouldn't take his eyes off the packet, following it from kitchen to the garden like it owed him money. Verdict delivered, no clipboard required.

It's a genuinely fresh idea, brilliantly executed, and comfortably the most exciting dog treat we've seen for a while. And you know what? They taste OK for us humans too.

If you buy one thing from this review, make it these.

The PARK LiFE Range: Something for Every Sniff

Once the crisps had cooled, we worked through the wider line up. This is where they really flex, because there’s a treat for almost every need going.

The jewel in the crown. Build Your Own Box lets you mix and match ten treat bags and save as you go, so you can tailor a box to your own dog rather than settling for someone else’s bundle.

Fussy eater at home? Load up on what works. It’s playful, practical and puts you in the driving seat. So what have they got to offer ?

Treat Shop : Sweet Shop Lookalikes

Now this made us smile. Treat Shop is a cheeky nod to the confectionery classics we all know, reworked so your dog can finally be in on the joke.

There are Puggy's Tasty Treats in a bacon and raspberry flavour that are the spitting image of a certain porky pink sweet, Dog Friendly Buttons that look just like the chocolate buttons from your childhood, and Penny's Treat Pieces, a peanut butter treat with more than a passing resemblance to a famous American cup.

The clever part is what's inside.

There's no real chocolate and no added sugar in sight. The Buttons swap it out for a premium blend of peanut butter and carob, so it's all of the fun and none of the fear. Grain free, natural and dog safe, they're pure nostalgia in a bag, and proof that PARK LiFE never miss a chance to make treat time a laugh.

In testing we loved the size. Perfect for reinforcing recall training on a dog walk, they're small so you can stuff lots in a treat bag.

Classic Gifts: Noses

For the ultimate in cuteness, meet Noses.

They come in a box of two bags across three varieties: chocolate (the dog-safe sort, of course), vanilla and peanut butter, all completely dog friendly.

They're tiny, about the size of a 1p, so they're best suited to small and medium dogs (we're fairly sure a Labrador wouldn't even notice one had gone down!). We reckon they'd make the perfect gift for a birthday or a Gotcha Day celebration.

Calming Treats

For Fireworks, Travel & Other Wobbly Moments

A standout in our original testing. The Calming range leans on soothing botanicals like chamomile, green tea, valerian root and passionflower, all aimed squarely at the wobbly moments: fireworks, car trips and the dreaded vet run.

It's a treat with a real job to do, and a thoughtful one at that.

In testing we found them noticeably crunchier and a good bit bigger than the Treat Shop sweets above, so they feel like a proper sit-down snack rather than a quick training nibble. A satisfying crunch for a calmer pup.

Dental Treats

Fresh Breath Without the Fuss

Fresh breath without the fuss, and no toothbrush battle in sight.

The dental line takes on plaque and tartar while your dog thinks they're simply getting a treat, and you can take your pick between the Brush-Bix, their Brush Stix dental sticks or longer lasting Brushies.

Their Brush-Bix & Brush-Stix contain peppermint, parsley and seaweed which work together to clean teeth and freshen breath, they're properly crunchy and, we reckon, the perfect bedtime treat.

Your pup gets a satisfying chew and a minty-fresh mouth, all without piling on the calories.

Training Treats

The Trainer's Secret Weapon

📷 Testing: Putting Nibbles through their paces with a snuffle mat. Photograph: Smart Bark

Nibbles are ultra-low-calorie, just a couple of calories each with around a hundred in a bag, which makes them ideal for training sessions where the treats stack up fast. High reward, low guilt, endless repetitions. Trainers, take note.

Sniffing for ten minutes can tire a dog as much as an hour's run, so nosework is a rainy-day winner. Simply scatter these Nibbles through a snuffle mat and watch your pup forage away.

Bravery Bones : Treats That Give Back

A lovely touch, and one that sets PARK LiFE apart. The special edition Bravery Bones do more than delight your dog, they give back with every bag, supporting the Thin Blue Paw Foundation and the retired and serving police dogs it champions.

Proof that a brand can do good while doing treats, and a very easy one to feel good about buying.

They're small so in testing we felt that they're ideal for training sessions when you're looking for repeat treats.

Dog Birthday & Celebration Treats

Because Dogs Should Celebrate Too

Here's the bit we love most. PARK LiFE don't want your dog watching from the sidelines, they want them in on the celebration whatever the date on the calendar.

Whenever there's fun to be had, there's a treat to match:

  • Boo Bites for Halloween, so your pup can join the trick or treating

  • Love-Bix for Valentine's, a sweet little fuss for the friend

  • Mini Eggs for Easter, dog-safe and ready for their very own egg hunt.

  • Cake-Bix for Birthdays, headlining a full birthday bundle with a card included.

  • Nibbles for Christmas, keeping tails wagging when the decorations go up.

Our Verdict

Reasons to buy:

✅ A brand new, genuinely innovative Dog Crisps range you can safely share

✅ Enormous breadth, from calming and dental to training, classics and celebrations

✅ Build Your Own Box puts you in control of exactly what your dog gets

✅ Grain free, human-grade ingredients with no artificial nasties

✅ A British brand with a charitable streak in the Bravery Bones

Worth knowing:

❎ If you want treats with added joint or gut supplements built in, you'll need to pair these with a functional chew

❎ The range is gloriously big, which is half the fun, but if you're new, a Build Your Own Box is the easiest way to find your dog's firm favourites.

❎ Our one gripe isn't with the treats at all, it's the website. The wording is oddly formal for such a playful brand, and it's not the most intuitive to navigate, so a little patience pays off while you hunt down your favourites.

PARK LiFE remain one of the most joyful brands we test, and this latest chapter only widens the gap. The Dog Crisps are a standout launch: a smart, share-friendly snack that scratches a real itch for owners without putting a paw wrong on ingredients.

Around it sits a range with rare breadth and a celebration line that genuinely lets your dog in on every party of the year.

If you want treats that are dog treats made with grain-free ingredients, varied and downright fun, they are a very easy brand to recommend. Start with the crisps, build a box, and let your dog join the celebrations.

If you want to test-drive the treats before you buy a larger bundle, then they are available individually or in great value boxes and multipacks on Amazon as well as direct from PARK LiFE

How Does PARK LiFE Compare With Other Dog Treat Brands?

If you're weighing up the field, here are some other options we'd suggest considering.

For supplement-loaded treats, functional options like Pooch & Mutt are worth a look. Not simply yummy treats, designed with vets and nutritionists, they are formulated with probiotics targeting important areas of canine health which certainly ticked a lot of boxes with our testers.

For long-lasting chews, Hollings hold up well. They offer a wide range of natural dog treats with simple, high-quality ingredients and no artificial additives. Think filled bones, chicken feet and buffalo horn.
