Before we jump into the individual products that make up Douxo SPA's extensive lineup, we need to highlight that every single one is thoughtfully crafted to be pH-balanced, hypoallergenic, and free from nasty stuff like soaps, sulphates, parabens, silicones, and artificial colors.

What’s even cooler? Their formulas pack a punch with natural powerhouses like Ophiopogon root extract. You may not be familiar with Ophiopogon root, but it's a true skin hero that outshines even Aloe Vera when it comes to strengthening the skin barrier and locking in moisture.

This natural wonder is a fave in skincare circles for its amazing benefits, especially for pups with sensitive, dry, or irritated skin.

Whilst the packaging is not the most eye-catching (it does have that Nivea sun cream look), the product itself not only performs perfectly but the scent would be at home in any upmarket Spa.

Douxo NEW Spa collection features their signature coco-vanilla scent, which is is absolutely divine. It's warm and bright and reminded us of essential oils as opposed to something more artificial. Your dog will smell utterly delicious!

Let's start with their shampoo collection.

Since every dog is one-of-a-kind and coats come in all shapes and sizes, Douxo SPA offers a whole collection of shampoos tailored to fit your furry friend’s unique needs :-

And here’s the cherry on top: every shampoo in their collection carries Douxo SPA’s signature coco-vanilla scent. Seriously, it’s so good you’ll want to bottle it for yourself! Your dog won’t just feel amazing, they’ll smell absolutely irresistible.

So what did we think in testing ?

The bottles are shaped to fit perfectly in your hand, making them super easy to grip which helps when your paws (or hands) are all wet.

The pump action lets you squeeze out just the right amount of shampoo exactly where you want it, no mess, no fuss. Plus, at a handy 250ml, they’re fairly lightweight and easy to handle.

Another huge plus for us was that there's no need for any mixing or dilution before use like some dog shampoos. These shampoos are ready to go straight from the bottle.

Just slick it onto a wet coat, work it in with a good massage, let the magic ingredients do their thing for a couple of minutes, then rinse off.

We loved how smoothly the shampoo spread through the fur, creating a nice, foamy lather that rinsed out quickly. And anyone with a pup who’s not a fan of bath time knows how crucial that quick rinse really is!

Douxo SPA : Leave-on Mousse

Next is one of our favourite products from the Douxo SPA collection - the Leave-on Mousse. If you're looking for a quick refresh between grooms or baths, it's an absolute gem.

With no need to rinse, it's a hassle-free way to not only freshen your dog's coat but to condition and protect it as well. Simply squirt two pumps into your hand and gently massage it into your dog's coat avoiding their eyes and mouth.

The goal is to massage the mousse deep into your dog’s fur all the way down to their skin, talk about a spa moment!

Your pup will be blissfully relaxed, which does wonders for their emotional well-being, while you get the bonus of lowering your own stress hormones and feeling calm and peaceful to boot.

No rinsing required either—just let it air dry. It leaves behind that irresistible Douxo signature coco-vanilla scent that everyone will love!

Douxo SPA : Ear Cleaner

Freddie’s ears have always been a bit of a challenge for us. We suspect it’s a mix of those narrow ear canals, extra hair, and the genetic quirks common in breeds like Labradoodles, Cockapoos, Poodles, and Spaniels. That means constant battles with wax buildup, infections, and some pretty unpleasant smells.

To avoid those dreaded vet trips (and the costs that come with them), we do our best to keep things in check at home.

Over the years, we’ve tested quite a few ear cleaners, so we were really excited to give Douxo SPA’s Ultra-safe Ear Cleaner a go and see how it measures up.

Douxo SPA’s ear cleaner is vet-recommended, and designed to effectively remove wax while caring for sensitive ears. We loved that it’s made from 97% natural ingredients and free from harsh chemicals, pretty ideal for pups like Freddie.

It’s crafted with natural polyglyceryl esters, which are apparently known for their gentle yet effective dewaxing properties that dissolve wax.

So, how did it go when we put it to the test?

The bottle comes with a long, soft rubber tip that makes it super easy to gently squirt the solution right into Freddie’s ear canal without having to poke around and potentially hurt him.

After that, we gave both ears a nice massage to help the cleaner work its magic, followed by letting Freddie shake his head, a good ol’ ear shake to loosen up any stubborn dirt and gunk.

Next, we wiped away the extra solution and loosened debris with some cotton wool pads.

The result? It worked like a charm and left his ears smelling wonderfully of that signature coco-vanilla scent, a huge step up from before!

We should point out that to successfully diagnose and treat problems with the ear it is always recommended to bring your dog to see your vet

Douxo SPA : Grooming Wipes

Last but not least are their Grooming Wipes. An incredibly convenient solution to dealing with the everyday mess your dog picks up on their paws, wipes are versatile and super handy to keep by the back door or in the car for a speedy clean up.

Absolute lifesavers for those mucky moments.

Plant based with no nasties, Douxo SPA wipes are an excellent addition to your dog grooming routine. They are perfect for tackling hygiene issues like gunky eyes, ears and of course their butts!

They come in a resealable pack of 100 thick wipes suitable for the whole body including eyes, ears and paws.

In testing we found the resealable packing worked well keeping the wipes fresh and moist. Plus they were fairly strong and didn't tear.

They freshened up Fred's face and paws between grooms and they smelt great, although we did notice that the fragrance faded much quicker than the Leave-On mousse.

Our Verdict

We think that Douxo is a fantastic home grooming range especially for dogs with sensitive or tricky skin. Their products are not only safe and gentle but are carefully crafted with veterinary experts to really support your dog's skin and coat health.

What’s great is that everything is free from harsh chemicals, so they’re super hypoallergenic and gentle, perfect for pets who need that extra kind care.

Plus, the lovely, soft coco-vanilla scent makes grooming feel like a little spa treat for both you and your furry friend! With natural ingredients that help soothe and protect, Douxo helps keep skin healthy, hydrated, and coats beautifully shiny.
